How to create a scene?

Let's try the simplest way possible:

Preparation:

1. make a new project (Menu -> File -> "New Project...")

2. open the "Graphical view" (Windows -> "Graphical view")

3. click with right mousebutton on window.

4. I think the menu now reads "Gerät hinzufügen" or "Add device". Click it.

5. select "Generic Dimmer" and click on "OK".

6. open the Scene list (Windows -> "Scene list")

7. Click on "Add"

8. give it the name "test" and press return.

9. now click in the Graphical view on the generic dimmer and take the slider on the half (or in the near of it).

10. Back to the Scene list window, click on the green "+" on the bottom to add a new Scene. Click on "simple Scene". 11. the "Save scene" Window opens. Your "Generic dimmer" is marked. On the right side, third from above is the field named "duration". Click on the arrow "up" and then select the middle one of the fields and make it a "1". This is the duration in seconds (1).

12. click on OK.

You now have your first Scene. Lets do the next one.

13. now click in the Graphical view on the generic dimmer and take the slider on the full right (on).

14. Repeat step 10, 11 and 12.

15. now click in the Graphical view on the generic dimmer and take the slider on the full left (off).

16. Repeat step 10, 11 and 12.

17. if you now start it with the green arrow on the bottom of the "Scene list" it should run with the 3 different scenes.

The most necessary thing is keeping to the order: first do changes on the real Scene, and then do the "simple Scene"-adding.

If you want to modify a Scene, you do it exactly the same order. Call the Scene by double-clicking on it, adjust it and then go to the yellow pencil on the bottom of the "Scene list"-window. But be shure you do not single-click another entry on the Scene list in between because you always edit the selected Scene. Adjust-create-save or Adjust-select-edit. :-)

... and you might want to disable HTP mixing.(highest takes precedence) then things might work a bit more like you would expect f you are used to MIDI.
