I am having problems with DMXControl. Where do I find help?

If it seems to be a program error, you should try using the latest Alpha-Version. This is a developer version and is updated much more frequently. However, it is not tested as extensively as the current release version and should not be considered for "live" use. For questions and problems, which also appear to apply to the alpha version, try forum. A quick response can usually be found there. The Wiki, (which you are currently reading), serves as knowledge base for DMXControl and contains much, frequently updated information. In here, the most current version of the handbook can be found in the form of Wiki articles, with explanations of DMX and much more besides.

I have received an "error no. xxx" message. DMXControl doesn't appear to work correctly

Try using the Alpha-Version. If the problem persists, please send us a brief report containing the indicated error no. and a short summary of the situation. Alternatively, you can post a message on the forum.

I have connected my dimmer pack and now some functions of DMXControl do not work

The problem most certainly lies with the DDF for the Device. At present, DDFs can declare only one DMX channel as the "dimmable" (intensity) channel. Therefore, Multi-Dimmer-DDFs are incompatible and only the one channel defined as the "dimmable channel" will work. The workaround for this problem, is to insert multiple Generic Dimmer devices for the individual connected lights, instead of a single Fixture for the dimmer.

How does the WinAmp interface work and why doesn?t it work for me?

Further information and a step-by-step-manual can be found in this Wiki under the WinAmp topic.
