Device Definitions

There are many devices capable of being controlled by DMX. These are usually very different in functionality design from each other. On the one hand is the standard 4-channel dimmer pack , on the other hand a Moving Light with 20+ channels. Moreover, more and more devices are coming on to the market which are unique and thus incomparable with existing fixture files.

DMXControl provides an open, easily understandable interface for integration of your devices into the software. Device  definition files, (shortened to DDFs), are used for this. These DDFs are as individual as your DMX equipment.
Therefore the possibility of controlling every conceivable device with DMXControl is available.

In this section you will find a library of existing DDFs created by the DMXControl community. These DDFs can be downloaded and immediately used in DMXControl.
Should you have a device that no DDF exists for yet, you can use the DDF creator to easily edit an existing DDF or create a new one.
One click publishing of your DDF to this page is also possible so that it is also available for other users to download in the future.
If you should have questions on the DDF system or the editor, you will find corresponding documents in the documentation area.
You can also receive support by e-mailing ddf-support(at)dmxcontrol.de
